About
Das is a Melbourne based designer who has a knack for designing genre film including Australian frontier, sci-fi and high concept design, and can achieve ‘light and bright’, ‘monochrome’ and ‘dark and atmospheric’ commercial looks with stunning results.
With a background in theatre and immersive arts, Das cut his teeth working with Green Room Award winning Four Larks Theatre, London’s Secret Cinema and The Other Cinema. Das has been an art department assistant on Australian feature films The Dressmaker and Holding the Man.
Selected production Design credits include the short film Cherokee that premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, and the dramatic reenactments for the four part Foxtel series Lawless: The Real Bushrangers.
Das’ production designed the feature film The Legend of Ben Hall and was nominated for best “Set Decoration for a Feature Film” by the Australian Production Design Guild Awards.
